All about Pontiac Fieros
The first Pontiac Fiero was produced in 1983 and the last was made in 1988. This was a mid-engine, two-seater, sports car built by General Motors. Overall they are still pretty easy to find today, either in junkyards or ones that the owner kept in mint-condition. Why am I writing about Pontiac Fieros? They are great little devils and do great at hugging corners. My first car was a Pontiac Fiero GT in red and in mint-condition. My family also had thirty more Fieros of all years, also. Now you can see why everyone called us "Fiero". I spent most of my time around Fieros while growing up and I really enjoyed how they looked and drove.
The best part was working on them and I worked on my 1987 Fiero a lot when I was a teenager. I took much pride into it because I worked on it and loved to show it off even though it was two different colors at the time due to my body parts were taken off a 1988 Formula version. I even learned how to shift in a 1984 SE! Even to this day, I miss it because my brother locked up the engine and had to rebuild it.
Pontiac Fieros are a special something to my family and I. I would recommend giving a Fiero to a teenager as their first car and really explore and learn from it. Too bad Pontiac stopped production on Fieros 1988 also due to the fact that some guy decided to make a Ferrari Mera body kit just for the Pontiac Fiero's body-frame which included legal action from Ferrari itself. A lot say that the Fiero was mirrored after a Ferrari but either way I still find them to be unique.
